The allelopathy of water extract the beneath topsoil on the seed germination and from Pinus thunbergii root, leaf, branch, bark, litterfall and seedling growth sults indicated that all the water extracts could reduce the of Chinese cabbage were measured. The regermination rate, radical length and biomass significantly, but had no significant effect on the average germination rate and hypocotyl length. The water extracts from leaf and litter could reduce the germination energy at the concentration of O. 1 g/ml significantly, and the inhibitions were no longer remarkable when the concentration decreased. Under laboratory conditions, the water extracts from leaf, bark and root had the most significant inhibitory effect on the germination rate, radicle length and biomass, respectively
