英文摘要 | Leymus chinensis is a saline-alkali tolerant grass of the Eurasian Steppe of great economic, ecological and nutritional importance. Mechanisms of ions (K(+), Na(+), Ca(2+)) adaptation to saline-alkali stresses were investigated in shoot, root and rhizome of the L. chinensis growing in five degrees of saline-alkali soils for 6 months. Results showed that with increasing soil saline-alkalinity, Na(+) in the shoots and rhizomes significantly increased while no obvious changes were observed in roots; K(+) in the three organs significantly decreased initially and then did not significantly change; Ca(2+) in the three organs did not significantly change. With increasing of soil saline-alkalinity, selective absorption of K(+) over Na(+) (SA(K,Na)) in the three organs increased and was particularly higher in roots and rhizomes. SA(Ca, Na) in these organs generally decreased but the selective transport ability of Ca(2+) (ST(Ca, Na)) increased. To conclude, low concentrations of Na(+) in the roots, strong selective uptake of K(+) and Ca(+) to maintain higher levels of K(+)/Na(+) and Ca(2+)/Na(+) ratios, and relatively high SA(K,Na) and ST(Ca, Na) were important adaptive mechanisms to saline-alkali stress in L. chinensis.; Leymus chinensis is a saline-alkali tolerant grass of the Eurasian Steppe of great economic, ecological and nutritional importance.
