The invention discloses a strain capable of degrading specific fragments of brown seaweed polysaccharide. The strain is isolated from rotten kelp, and is classified and named Bacillus sp.; and products obtained by degrading the brown seaweed polysaccharide by the strain only include brown seaweed trisaccharide and brown seaweed tetrasccharide; and the strain is collected in China Center for Type Culture Collection on April 28, 2019, and the collection number is CCTCC NO : M 2019312. The strain has the beneficial effects that sodium alginate can be degraded into the brown seaweed trisaccharide and the brown seaweed tetrasccharide; and the degradation products have only two polymerization degree types which are greatly reduced, so that further isolation of the degradation products is facilitated, and thereby, brown seaweed oligosaccharide of single polymer is obtained.
